Farddina Hussain is an Associate Professor of Gauhati University, Department of English and has researched extensively on storytelling, culture, cinema, and Posthumanism. Her recent published paper Filming Folktales is an exploration of select folk narratives of Assam and Amazonian philosophy. She is also a co-editor of the Routledge book series Peripheral Lives in Asia.
