Karuna Ezara Parikh is a former television anchor, writer and poet, widely known for her activism. Her novel, The Heart Asks Pleasure First, was published in 2020, followed by a collection of poetry in 2021, Where Stories Gather. Forthcoming is a travel memoir, Waterbaby, out in 2024. She is the co-founder of the sustainable company The Burlap People.
