Lekhnath Chhetri is a writer and translator from Darjeeling.. His works primarily focus on portraying violence both by and against the state. He has authored 'Phoolange,' a Nepali novel set during the Gorkhaland movement that took place in Darjeeling during the 1980s. The novel has been translated into English as 'Fruits of the Barren Tree' by Anurag Basnet and published by Penguin Random House India.
