Tashi Chophel is a poet and bureaucrat hailing from Gangtok, Sikkim. He has been widely published in various literary journals and newspapers including Cordite Poetry Review, IIC Quarterly, Seminar, The Sentinel, Weekend Review, Nagaland Page, Sikkim Express, Summit Times, and Sikkim Now. Chophel's work has also been featured in several anthologies such as, Sahitya Akademi’s Modern English Poetry by Younger Indians and Prose Writings from North East India. His debut book of poems is How to Collect a Folk Tale. In addition to his literary pursuits, Chophel serves as a bureaucrat and continues to be a prominent voice in the artistic and cultural landscape of Sikkim.
