Concept

‘THE STAGE’ is a 10-minute theatrical performance created for the digital medium by award-winning director Jino Joseph. The Stage will depict a fascinating narrative about the lives of actors and crew during a performance juxtaposed with their personal realities, especially taking into context the current times since the pandemic. This work of art will be in solidarity with theatre practitioners, including actors, production crew, light designers, sound designers, stage managers, and all backstage members, all of whom have had an exceptionally difficult past couple of years.

The scenography and visualisation of this work will be just like a trailer, travelling through the lives of several characters, situations, and events within a short period of time. The play will be a blend of reality, drama and fantasy. Specially designed set, props, lighting and choreography, will bring to life this unique production.
