Support Artistes & their Families in Assam

The Brahmaputra Cultural Foundation (BCF) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2013 (under the Societies Act) by Shilpika Bordoloi. Its mission is to preserve and promote cultural traditions of Northeast India and showcase the best practices in the field of performing and visual arts from all over the world. Through its NOI Center in Jorhat, it teaches dance, folk songs, music, theatre, folk instrument making, and Yoga. BCF also runs community-based initiatives on arts and culture in nearby districts such as Golaghat.

In light of the current situation due to the lockdown, the foundation is raising funds for all the artists and their families who have been associated with them.

Fundraising Goals:

BCF directly works with 50 artistes on a full-time and part-time basis. Their goal is to ensure all their artistes and their families have sufficient resources that help them tide over the next 6 months.

The financial support of INR 6,000 is expected to cover food expenses for 1 entire family (with 4-5 members each) per month.
